We left the Amaru community early in the morning towards the Quinsacocha Lagoon to the Paru Paru Community (this lagoon was previously divided into three lagoons, currently it is only seen as two lagoons due to the dam they made for agricultural purposes).
Desde there begins the ascent through the Andes mountains, passing through the first rest and Almasamana viewpoint at 4,075 meters above sea level from where you can see the beautiful landscape of mountains surrounding the Quinsacocha lagoon, where we begin to advance to reach to Yanque Pampa at 4,114 meters above sea level where you can already see the grazing of llamas, alpacas and sheep; We continue the ascent until we reach the Q’olla Cc’asa pass at 4,166 meters above sea level, which is also the limit between the Districts of Pisac and Lamay within the Province of Calca.
Desde there we continue the walk, we see on the route a lot of grazing of flocks and herds of llamas, alpacas and sheep, birds from lagoons such as Huallatas (Andean seagull), Lequechos, Jaccachu (Andean woodpecker), among others, as well as beautiful Andean landscapes, lagoons, small traditional hamlets, many made of stone as they did in the past and these traditional constructions can still be seen here. We continue the walk until we reach the Sapacto viewpoint and the Carcelcocha lagoon, located at 4,200 meters above sea level, from where we can see a beautiful valley and the small town of Sapacto and its Carcelcocha lagoon; We descend to the lagoon at 4,150 meters above sea level where we have lunch and rest.
