06:00 HRS. We depart from Cusco, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving at Mollepata (2900 m.a.s.l.) where we will have our breakfast, then we will prepare to start our excursion. The bus will take us to the starting point, markokasa (3380 m.a.s.l.) from This point will begin our five-hour walk passing through Inca trails until we reach Soraypampa (3900m.a.s.l.) where we will be arriving at 1.30 pm. There we will have our first lunch and first camp. After lunch we can go visit the beautiful Humantay lagoon (4200m. .s.n.m) where we will have impressive views of the turquoise lake and at night we will have our dinner and then be able to rest.
7:00 am Nutritious breakfast, and then continue with our walk, we start from the point of Soraypampa to the highest point of Salkantay Pass between five to six (4650 meters above sea level) passing through Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha where we see a small lagoon then we will begin the descent to huayracmachay (3800m.s.n.m) where we will have our lunch then we will continue descending to chaullay (3h) (2900m.s.n.m) here will be our second camp.
Continuing our walk after a comforting breakfast we will begin our walk appreciating a variety of coca crops, considered the sacred leaf of our ancestors which is currently cultivated in tropical areas, this last stretch will be a descent to Playa five hours (1900m.a.s.l.) where we will have our lunch and from there towards Santa Teresa where we will spend the night. Optional visit the Cocalmayo hot springs.
The sunrise will be in a tropical area full of history and nature, we will have a delicious varied breakfast to continue with the six-hour walk passing by the Hydroelectric plant. At this point we will have a box lunch (Hidroeléctrica train service – Aguas Calientes (Optional), doing stops in different places to simply appreciate the landscape and its surroundings full of waterfalls with impressive falls which come from the glaciers, arriving in the afternoon at the town of Aguas Calientes.
We will spend the night in a hotel*** at the foot of Machupicchu. We will have our last dinner in a restaurant and our guide will organize everything for the next dia.
Early in the morning we will go up by bus to the citadel of Machupicchu where we will visit the entire classic route for two to three hours accompanied by our guide. If you like, you can climb the Waynapicchu or Inti Punko mountain.
At the end of the tour, go down to the town to enjoy lunch.
16:22 Hrs. Departure by Expedition train to Ollantaytambo station, once there the private transportation will pick you up and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
