SALKANTAY TRECK 5D/4N

Day 1: CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA 15 km.

06:00 HRS. We leave Cusco, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo arriving to Mollepata (2900 m.a.s.l.) where we will have our breakfast, then we will get ready to start our excursion. The bus will take us to the starting point, markokasa (3380 m.a.s.l.) from this point we will start our five hour hike through Inca trails until we arrive to soraypampa (3900m.). After lunch we will visit the beautiful humantay lagoon (4200m.a.s.l.) where we will have impressive views of the turquoise lagoon and at night we will have our dinner and then we can rest.

Day 2: SORAYPAMPA – CHAULLAY 21km

7:00 am Nutritious breakfast, then we continue with our hike, we start from the point of soraypampa to the highest point salkantay open between five to six (4650 m.a.s.l. ) passing by salkantaypampa and soyrococha where we appreciate a small lagoon then we begin the descent to huayracmachay (3800m.a.s.l.) where we will take our lunch then we continue descending until chaullay (3h) (2900m.a.s.l.) here will be our second camp.

Day 3: CHAULLAY – SAHUAYACO BEACH – SANTA TERESA 11km

Continuing our walk after a comforting breakfast we will begin our walk appreciating a variety of coca crops, considered the sacred leaf of our ancestors that is currently cultivated in tropical areas, this last stretch will be downhill to beach five hours (1900m.s.n.m) where we will take our lunch and from there heading to santa teresa where we will spend the night. optional visit to the hot springs of cocalmayo.

Day 4: SANTA TERESA – FUENTES CALIENTES” 17 km.

We will wake up in a tropical area full of history and nature, we will have a delicious breakfast to continue with the six hour hike passing by the Hydroelectric at this point we will take a box lunch (train service Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes (Optional), making stops in different places to simply appreciate the landscape and its surroundings full of waterfalls with impressive falls that come from glaciers, arriving in the afternoon to the town of Aguas Calientes.

We will spend the night in a hotel*** at the foot of Machupicchu. We will have our last dinner in a restaurant and our guide will organize everything for the next day.

Day 5: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Early we will go up by bus to the citadel of Machupicchu where we will visit for two to three hours all the classic route accompanied by our guide, if you like you can climb the mountain of Waynapicchu or Inti Punko.

At the end of the tour we will go down to the village to enjoy lunch.

16:22 Hrs. Departure by Expedition train to Ollantaytambo station, once there private transportation will pick you up and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
