We leave the community of Amaru early in the morning towards the Quinsacocha Lagoon to the community of Paru Paru (this lagoon was once divided into three lagoons, now it is seen only as two lagoons by the dam that was made for agricultural purposes).
From there begins the ascent through the mountains of the Andes, passing by the first rest and viewpoint Almasamana at 4,075 masl from where you can see the beautiful scenery of mountains surrounding the Quinsacocha lagoon, where we started to move forward to reach Yanque Pampa at 4,114 masl where you can already see the grazing of llamas, alpacas and sheep; We continue the ascent until we reach the pass of Q’olla Cc’asa at 4,166 masl, which is also the limit between the Districts of Pisac and Lamay in the Province of Calca.
From there we continue the walk we see on the route quite a lot of herds and herds of llamas, alpacas and sheep, birds of lakes as Huallatas (Andean gull), Lequechos, Jaccachu (Andean woodpecker), among others, as well as beautiful Andean landscapes, lagunillas, small traditional villages many made of stone as formerly made and here you can still appreciate these traditional buildings. We continue our hike until we reach the viewpoint of Sapacto and the Carcelcocha lagoon at 4,200 masl, from where we can appreciate a beautiful valley and the small town of Sapacto and its Carcelcocha lagoon; we descend to the lagoon at 4,150 masl where we have lunch and rest.
